Joy! Glee! Complete happiness! Puddles are a fabulous gift of nature, and puddle jumping is a universal delight. “Puddles” looks at the many opportunities for children to explore the exciting combination of weather, rubber boots, and rain coats.
Young children have a hard time sorting out what works and what doesn’t; what’s good and what’s not. “What’s Up With Water?” looks at what water we can drink and water we can’t; a real dilemma for a toddler.
My eldest grandchild (then 4 years old), after looking at the preliminary black and white sketches for “What’s Up With Water?”, rushed off to get her crayons—she wanted to colour the pictures.Turns out, so do lots of others!
With the addition of “Puddles”, there is a second colouring book. It’s the same fun story, same great art, in black and white. I love that young readers and artists are continuing to put their own stamp on the stories!
"My child wanted to read it over and over again before bed. What a great idea to also print it as a colouring book!”
Mother of 2 toddlers
"The book is super cute: well written, great illustrations and a very useful message.”
Mother of a 3 year old
" 😀 We read the book about 10 times in a row last night and he took it to bed with him. It’s a hit!!!"
Grandmother of a 4 year old
“Our daughter was so excited and was asking to read it all through dinner.”
Parents of a four year old
I'm a storyteller. I developed this skill during my professional career, within both the public sector, such as the library, and private corporations, as well as in my favourite volunteer work as a member of the Board of Governor of Humber College. Stories provide context and perspective in real-life situations. As a mother and a grandmother, stories are a perfect tool to support and entertain people of all ages in my world. Good stories entertain and educate. My husband, my family and I live in Toronto, Canada.
